Order My Steps

Description

Here's a piece I've been working on for quite some time. I'm adding it to my His Beautiful Words series. Because I knew I was going to be too busy to sit down and finish this in a couple days, and because I already had an idea of how I wanted that background to be and that it would be tedious going, I settled in to myself that it was going to be a long term project. But here it is! Finally done! And I have to say, I'm really in awe of what God has done. I love it :)

I had originally done this in black and white (like the other two pieces in this series, but then after, decided it would work better in a sepia like tone (or that's what I'm calling it :D). Before anyone asks, I just used a simple default photoshop brush, black, white, and some layer flipping and flopping.

I started this early this year ...... [checks 'date created' info] .... April 10th it says  Not bad methinks. Well, I recorded the whole process of this. So now I just need to find the appropriate music, slap something together in a video program, and upload it to youtube. I was gonna write a song for it, but I think instead I might just find one. So yaay for new project! :eager:

If you want your own interpretation of this, feel free to skip the next section here. :)

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." A beautiful song that always gets stuck in my head when I hear it. Thy WORD is the lamp unto my feet. When you read the Word of God, you open yourself up to receiving instructions from God on the choices to make and the paths to take. Every decision in life - you will find your self looking to God first. And what you will find, is when there seemed to be no way, if you listen to God first and obey his voice to do something, the path practically makes itself!

Have you ever found yourself being bounced around in life - crashing into brick walls, falling into ditches, getting caught up in the thickets, again and again and again? Maybe you need to check your line of sight. Where are you looking? At your two hands to figure out what you have to ability to do? At your two feet to see where they are capable of going? At the path to see whether it is passable, pleasing enough, profitable enough? Because, while all those things sound quite reasonable and logical, that's not how a Christian should live their life.

The Bible says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corin 5:17) We are a new species - living and surviving in this life a totally different way than non-believers, carnal thinkers. The Bible says we "walk by faith and not by sight" (2 Corin 5:7) So you sight must be on the object of our faith, Jesus, the one who's allowed for us to attain the grace to accomplish anything in this life. When your faith is in Him, the Bible promises that He will "... never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13:5).

It's difficult in the beginning, because all our lives, we've been used to living according to what we see, feel, touch, experience. And then all of a sudden, we must live a totally different way! And that, my friends, is why you must keep your face in the Word every day - so that your mind is renewed and you open your heart to believing, trusting, and being confident in the holy truth which is truly our (as believers) way of life. So keep that Word in your eyes, in your heart, and it will make your path clear to you. The light of the Word of God, which IS God (John 1:1), will guide you in the right way.

I thank God for the opportunity to be able to share this with everyone! And I thank God that it speaks to hearts and opens eyes, because God says that "it [God's words] shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)

Also, I'll leave to your interpretation the remaining aspects of this piece as I probably won't be able to explain half of what may have spoken to your heart, but here I've written how it's spoken to mine. So please feel free to leave your interpretation below! I'd love to see! :D And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'll try my best to be of help.

Thanks for watching guys! And God bless you abundantly! :)

This is amazing! I am encouraged to trust God more, and not us sight, but use faith instead.
